Zena Wengel continues to hold fellowing meetings and bible studies among the blind community in Addis Ababa throughout the 2020 and 2021 COVID pandemic, despite travel being difficult and food being expensive.

In August 2021, a gift of Amharic and Oromo audio bibles along with some collapsible reflective guide canes was delivered to Addis and distributed there and to some men and women in the city of Bako.

In September 2021, Berhanu travelled to Diredawa and preached at the MKC church there.

In October, Berhanu was also invited to speak at the Herald Believer’s Fellowship Church in Awassa. At that time, the church donated food and supplies to some of the blind community there.

Berhanu’s friend Stephan has been collecting the history of church choirs around Ethiopia. A lot of unique an interesting information is on his website at ethiopiangospelmusic.net.  Blind folks have often been key members of many of these choirs.
